AND, not to mention that being a old fag, I grew up with the old Golden Age Morning Musume members. I have kept up with them over the years and many of us old fags do feel like we can relate to them better because they are the same age as us and have basically grown up with them at the same time. I will follow the older members forever and i will still know who Mari, Maki, Kei, Kaori are even when I am 60 years old.

If I was calling the shots over at UFA I would keep it as it is; Musume is still making money and if they want to keep seeing that money it's better to play it safe and pander to the wotas and print more photocards.
Launching a japanese idol group in the US (has it ever been done? has anyone ever tried?) isn't going to be cheap, even a small cross country tour would probably cost them more than the entire budget of both Haromoni@ and Yorosen combined. And if it backfires the higher ups will have to cancel their fucking golf vacations, and they don't want that.

Also might be something how they're not national idols any more. I mean back in they day they were, hence the reason they were on shows every other day. But I'm willing to bet some cash that the general public doesn't have a goddamn clue about who's in Musume these days. That can't be of any help either..
