1994 BC would line up with Egyptian times. The "pillar with 8 wings" could be a Djed pillar (see pic).

Interestingly the pillar was said to contain the body of the god Osiris in Egyptian legend. A modern interpretation could be that this was an alien in a vessel/ship/escape pod that crashed to earth (also that's a very Evangelion type of thing to happen).
