So this is the original sin he talked about in chapter 12. It’s about Souji questioning his actions in the mountain and leaving that paradise for the regular world. Definitely getting some Adam and Eve vibes about him committing the sin of wanting knowledge and trying to learn the truth of the world while leaving his own paradise. The analogy doesn’t make much sense when he described people dying and it being a struggle to survive though. Guess it’s just in Souji’s nature to adapt to anything and think the peaceful simplicity of it all without the constant sins of the regular world is perfection to him.
