2ch has us beat on this one, unfortunately, pretty much every single 4koma has a gacha-themed edit made over there (though I'm also pretty proud of Nazunandias on that department). But I really can't blame FKG devs for withholding rainbows, not after seeing golds go from 3% chance to basically free, it's something they pretty much have to do to survive. It also doesn't affect my overall satisfaction with the game, since I'm not much of a collector anyway, and seeing new cute girl designs every week is enough for me.

Getting to know a bit more about plants on the side is nice too, and probably the biggest draw of FKG: I just learned that Kalmia has an umbrella because 花笠石楠花 (flower-parasol rhododendron, after its flowers that resemble the undersides of umbrellas) is another name for it (and it's spoon-tipped because spoonwood, of course, while she speaks English because the flower is also known as American laurel/rhododendron...), and Chinese Smilax has that mask because its thorns are believed to snare climbing monkeys (hence its name 猿捕茨/monkey-catching bramble, somewhat similar to our monkey-no-climb tree).

Royal Water Lily has yet another name pun that isn't readily obvious in English: the plant has a close relative in Japan, the ferociously prickly Gorgon waterlily, which is locally called the demon lotus, 鬼蓮. Its titanic Amazonian cousin therefore earned the name oo-oni-hasu, great oni-lotus, which (alongside the ability of the flower to capture and imprison small beetles for pollination) is probably the reason for her peculiar personality.
