before working I was kinda like you said, but after I got a horrible job I realized a lot of things about myself, and that my wife was not who I thought it was.
which sounds really shitty and felt really shitty for a looong time. I went through a lot of mental and emotional turmoil over feeling like I was changing waifus after 9 years, but I've largely come to terms with it
