What was /jp/'s gateway into otaku culture?

This was actually surprisingly good.

Didn't know where to vent appreciation, since I heard that KS belong on /jp/ but damn - I've turned my nose up at this game, since i'm not a 'slice of life' guy, and would generally be seen watching bebop, or shounen anime in general. Even had it confused for hentai/loli smut at first, simply put i'm a casual-ass normalfag who had a tense anus and a hollow opinion.

Started it 2 days ago on a whim and shit, I'm fucking immersed, the writing is stellar, the backgrounds are well chosen, instantly breathed atmosphere at pretty much the beginning - still haven't finished though.

Who can you path with? I heard Rin isn't an option.

What does /jp/ think of KS even though it's not from the glorious Nippon?

Not the cripple stuff perse, more like the interactive novel manga kinda thing.

Hey /jp/

I was around some other boards and they were RAVING about Katawa shoujo.

While KS is good, I think it's just /v/ and /a/ lacking experience in VN's. The direction of the stories were rather simple, no big surprises, etc. I do however appreciate the novelty of disabled girls, that in itself is pretty new or at least not overused theme.

Is there a good site that I can download some Japanese VN's aside from HF/Fakku? I use to have a decent one before a PC wipe but I haven't been successful in finding it yet.
