Fellow Heisigfags, I have a question.

I usually learn about 20 kanji a day, and upon reviewing the kanji that I just learned, I have a very poor remembrance rate for the new kanji introduced. Somewhere around 40% I'll recall. Upon reviewing once again and checking kanji.koohii for user stories that are probably better than mine, I can generally remember almost every kanji from a lesson.

My question is, is this normal? Or, am I doing it wrong? Also, should I just continue forward in Heisig, despite not learning some kanji? Or, not continue until I have the kanji down?
