Iku slid the video tape into her VCR. Saturday Night Fever, her favorite. No matter how many times she watched it, it never staled. Or so she thought.

She met a human a few weeks ago. He was no John Travolta, but he was certainly something. Iku was used to using her abilities to fit in with anybody, but he was a lazy degenerate without a care in the world. What Iku was once, and what she wished to be again. He was perfectly content with dicking around her house, watching crappy old films from the outside world, and casual sex. He was pretty great.

Iku watched the homage to the 70's through blurry eyes, feeling nothing. Nothing that she had felt in the past couple years. Her phone went off, which caused her to groggily drsag her body over to it to answer. She put on her stupid hat and frilly blouse and left her house without turning the TV off. Alone.
