Just watched this Nobuhiko Obayashi film 'Futari'/Chizuko's Younger Sister, the soundtrack was by Joe Hisaishi.

It was quite good, however it really hammers you over the head with tragedy after tragedy. The lead girl played by Hikari Ishida was very cute.
