Battler and Riyu banter about how Battler wants to meet Riyu's sister, and how he thinks she's probably cuter than Riyu lets on, although he insists that she isn't. This small moment allows them to forget about the witch's game briefly, and just act as friends. Chapter 6 ends. Chapter 7 opens once again on Tohya and Ikuko, taking another break as Tohya realises the author is mocking them, trying to prove they can write a better human detective than they can. They explain the overpowered nature of Erika, how she abuses knowledge of the meta world to make her unreasonable preparations, to the point of breaking her own rule, Knox's 6th. "It is forbidden for accident or intuition to be employed as a detective technique." Ikuko defends the absurdity of Erika as part of her charm, and the two praise the author for making them think. Then on a higher plane, Featherine claims one who stops thinking will die, and wonders that if Tohya will stop thinking, stop writing mysteries and forgeries, will he die in the process?

Regarding Riyu:
"This person has reasons of his own to defeat the witch."

First Twilight:
"Nanjo confirmed the deaths of all six people. There's no way he would mistake the status of a dead body."
"Krauss, Hideyoshi, Rudolf, George, Jessica and Kyrie died instantly. By instant, I mean that they immediately reached a condition in which they couldn't walk or reach another place by themselves."
"The chains can only be set from the inside."
"No one was hiding inside the rooms at the time of discovery!"
"Jessica, George and Kyrie got to the rooms in which they were discovered after you left the mansion!"
"There are only five master keys, one for each servant on the island!"
"There was no signs of the bodies being moved through the corridor!"
