Ive seen this many times yet I normally ignored it because my own music collection is pretty solid, but sometimes its nice not to hear the same things.

Now that Fairy Wars has been out for a bit, let's talk about the music. What is your impression of it? Personally I really disliked that ZUN reused the stage boss theme for all 3 fairies and for the two stages. The song isn't bad, but it's just a boss song. One of the things I really like about Touhou is that every boss has their own theme, their own patterns and sometimes their own bullet types or manner of attack. This adds personality to each boss you face, and while some of those elements are still there in Fairy Wars the same song made it feel a lot like the Cave shooters where I don't give a damn about what I'm taking down. I'm not asking for a song for each of the 6 routes, but one for each fairy would have been nice. In fact, if he was time constrained why didn't he just reuse the songs he already made for them (CD manga)? It wouldn't be the first time he reused a song (spoiler level from DS).

With that said I really enjoyed the regular themes, stage 3 is fucking fantastic and the 3 fairies theme, although short, sets the battle in a really nice way. At first it feels bossy, as in "oh fuck, shit just got real" but then it gets lighter, and then you realize it's just fairies playing around. I really liked that. I have mixed reactions about the new Marisa theme though, what do you guys think of it?
