5ch have the option to show IPs in addition to the IDs, which became active a couple of months ago on Anti Idolbu Threads for whatever reason (to detract shitposters presumably?). That IP matched the one that was visible on the Note leakage, along with several shitposts including pic related.

Now the thing about 5ch's ID system is that the 3rd and 4th digits remain the same unless the internet connection (specifically their IP and ISP) has changed. This led people to dig through previous threads with the same 3rd and 4th digit ("ec"), and find posts that sound similar to the IP posts, which has led to a trove of shitposts. These obviously aren't smoking guns unless you got a warrant to get relevant info retrieved from 5ch servers, but given what's happened, it's pretty suspect.

And if you want to go further down this rabbit hole, there's been chitchat about another shitposter account "76" that's potentially affiliated, but it should be mentioned that this is based on device/browser information, so this is even further down the reliability chain. But again it's worth considering given that the shitposting's already connected via IPs.

And then you also have the Cottage thing, which is really fucking weird and I don't think I know enough to explain.
