Does anyone have an idea on what ZUN meant in the first paragraph with a bolded phrase? I interpreted it roughly as:

It's not that fun but it doesn't have to be. Personally I gave it a chance and stuck with it after realizing that I'm learning new words really fast with spaced repetition.
