If you want to know about Eri's skin condition, I have atopic dermatitis, or rather, atopy. The skin problems are actually a symptom of atopy, which is a gene-based sensitivity to allergens (food allergies, allergic asthma, hayfever etc. can also be found in many atopic people). To simplify it somewhat, it's like you are a bit allergic to pretty much everything, so your skin reacts to outside influences easily.

There's no "being cured" from this condition. It's chronic. For people who have had it from a small child there's a chance that it gets gradually better and stops affecting you all that much, but that's generally for people well under their 20s - for people like me and Eri who have it 18+, it's for life. When the skin dries up, at worst it gets so goddamn itchy it can even wake you up at night, your skin may get cuts (either from scratching or from your skin just getting so dry it cracks open) and showering can also cause physical pain. The extent varies from person to person of couse, some have it mild some have it really bad, but it's never just a cosmetic problem.
