I cant read kanji, and can only understand small tidbids of hiragana and katakana. ;_;

あえいおう　and アエイオウ
It is smart to learn both at the same time, or should I learn one, then the other?

Should I learn both before tackling kanji?

I've been waiting a while for a thread with Japanese text so I could ask this question without >>>/lang/
or starting a shitty thread myself.
