Hey /jp/, I've been doing some research on these dolls and realized...wouldn't it be cheaper to just make one yourself at home?

So far what I'm thinking is this - there are realistic mannequin bodies that you can buy for less than $200. You can buy plaster at any art store and $50 should be enough to cover the whole body, which you will then use to make a cast of the mannequin doll. Then you design a basic skeleton out of PVC piping to keep the body firm and movable.

Now here comes the hard part - the actual material the doll is made out of. Does anyone know exactly what it is and if it can be purchased cheaply? All I've found is that it's made out of some silicone compound.
