They don't have anything to say to me. Kanako and Suwako are more prone to being paired with each other while Sanae/Aya is uncommon (and they barely interact as is, so that's even more of a crack pairing).

At the time of when UFO was the most recent game, Sanae's character had yet to truly be defined and her dialogue with Kogasa gave birth to the ship, which got increasingly popular over the years.

Sanae's still a regular. She, Sakuya, and Youmu are the more prominent characters who tend to be playable in the bullet hells. Reimu and Marisa being playable is a must, of course, and I'm of the opinion that Sanae shouldn't be in that same boat. As much as I love her, I don't think that would be an ideal decision. Variety is much preferable.

She needs a break, too, after all.
