For me the moriyas are the definition of disgustingly corrupt and are the reason MoF, SA, UFO and TD happened. They even said they'd tip toe away from Gensokyo without taking responsability if Utsuho managed to reach the surface with scorching intentions and then make an extremely risky and hazardous nuclear reactor just to create hot air for a balloon. Even when Reimu says ''these gods aren't bad'' Sanae and Kanako inmediately go ''y-yeah totally I'm not a bad god'' and Aya even points out how shoddy they sound. The youkai in the mountain dislike them too for their attempt at forcing their religion by force.

They're using Gensokyo for convenience and wouldn't doubt leaving the moment things get hairy without taking responsability, they're pretty much an example of contemporary scummy corporates. Even after being exterminated and tea-party-ed they still commit atrocities which is unlike any other antagonist in the series. The biggest evil to have landed on Gensokyo as friendly as they seem and Sanae blindingly follows and agrees to everything, I can't support that.
