Some people would recommend this, but I don't because of the long duration. Good trips are great, but bad trips last way too long and if it's your first time then you're probably going to be nervous. It's expensive too and you can't grow it.
>Mescaline
Really long duration. Maybe even 18 hours for some people. Do not start with this. Also, it takes a very long time to grow a cactus, it will take years to grow one to maturity.
>Toads
It costs over $100 for one of these toads and it takes a month for them to recharge after a milking. What they produce is basically DMT's mean little brother. It will scare the shit out of you. Not worth it.
>DMT
Great stuff, but very intense. Not great for your first psychedelic. Lots of different plants to choose from if you want to grow it and lots of ways to ingest it.
>Mushrooms
Wonderful introduction to psychedelics. Easy to grow, the duration is reasonable and not nearly as long as LSD, and ingestion is easy. You can also easily measure out how much you want so that you don't take too much your first time and feel overwhelmed, but most LSD blotters that you buy off silkroad will probably have a higher dose that is more suited for an experienced user.

So shrooms first, get comfortable with it, then try out DMT.
