UK kigs aren't lucky, they're either really shitty people or stuck on an island with really shitty people. Imagine finding out you're one of the lucky people to have 20+ kigs in your country only to find out each and every one of them is a discount Wyu, a lolrandom memefag or just a cunt.

On top of that there's the price of transport, Yanks tend to assume that a kig going from Glasgow to London only has to go a couple hundred miles but when you factor in the shitty road infrastructure, that multiplies that a lot. Add on the price of petrol/diesal and suddenly you're paying £300-£500 just to get to a meet, probably more if you're going by train or, god forbid, a bus. Even a local meet within a hundred miles could cost you £100-£300.

And then on top of all that, the big UK meets all require you to pay a fee of several hundred pounds and that's assuming you somehow managed to even get hold of a space before all the ingroup people fill them all up before the event is even announced.
