It isn't meant to be watched chronologically, but I understand the confusion. I originally only watched the first 2 episodes, found that it was exactly what I was looking for (largely dialogue focused) and stopped hoping to watch the series in chronological order. Way later found out that you're intended to watch it out of order and was pretty pleased with the results.
