Don't know about you, but I find it kind of amusing taking part in the duty of perpetuating the Japanese modern myth that the world outside Japan is a ruthless and savage magical land populated by monstrous blonde gibberish-speaking amazons out to corrupt and destroy the sensible socially conformed Japanese male for their own pleasure.
It adds a sense of purpose and a bit of glamour to an otherwise mundane existance of computer media studies.
