If crest healing was so strong, being a magi would make one almost immortal, and that doesn't seem to be the case for the most part. And I'd consider it if the crest was a full-body one as with Alice and Illiya, but it's just a hand in her case.
And the speed to full recovery is ridiculous anyway.
