I was watching Noir's member stream yesterday, and he had a few interesting things to say about birthdays and birthday merch. While he's not working on anything birthday-related himself, two members of Tempus are, and according to him, planning a birthday takes:
>Many rounds of back and forth with Cover
>Loads of paperwork
>All communication going through one of Cover's approved translators (unless you speak JP yourself)
He estimates that on average, simply planning and discussing birthday merch can take up to 100 HOURS of the talent's time. We're talking two and a half weeks of actual, fulltime work from the streamer, every year, to design some cups and a t-shirt.

Just thought I'd share that with anyone who's curious why it takes so long for Cover to do things and why the talents stream so little compared to other companies. The language barrier between EN talents and JP higher-ups certainly doesn't help, but if Cover is able to turn simple merch design conversations into a 100-hour ordeal for the talents, who knows what else they're being obtuse about.
