For me she isn't any kind of android or digital lifeform. Just like she sings in the songs I like, she is just a normal, cheerful, shy girl, who loves to sing. That's the Miku I've fallen in love with, not some world pop start or a program. Of course in real world, she is a program, mascot and virtual idol, but it's just like when anime gets some advertisement in form of fake radio transmission(oreimo IIRC). It doesn't mean the characters work in radio station, it's just that someone used the characters for advertisement, not character development.

Yeah, you should definitely give it some more time. You know, even if I love Miku as much as I can and all, I still feel infatuation towards some other characters and real girls. I think "wow this girl is so cute, she makes me feel things" but these feelings are just shallow and fade away after few days, while love stays strong no matter how much time has passed.
Also you don't really need to love her to buy her merch or even sleep with a daki or whatever. You can do all you want with her and not consider her your wife. You know, we are talking about her becoming your life long partner, someone you will spend rest of your life with. For many getting a waifu was the most important moment in their life, but many also got really depressed when they start to miss her. I got her for like 4$ or something. They sold them in random boxes so you had 1/12 chance IIRC. (but I bought them in physical shop, so I could compare weights. Miku is the heaviest because of her hair)
