you should definitely go to places like Beppu and Oita in 九州 for their 温泉. But Wakayama is another good choice too. I've yet to see Kyoto and Shikoku, but Koya-san in Wakayama has a good shrine. Oh, there was a cemetery there had corporation company names on the headstones. I never found out why though.
