If one Kamaitachi wife has twins it throws the entire balance out of whack. There's going to be a group of four kamaitachi running around and one of the twins may feel like a fourth wheel. Also I like to think that sometimes the older sister type may have a daughter that's more like one of her younger sisters and vice versa

Perhaps because you may like one body type and power set more than the others? As KC has noted, you can get a set of three with the same body type. To quote from the making of:
