Always take a strong pet, and tag-team a weak one with it. Do a quick check to see if one or two aren't hogging all the kills and you should be fine. Strengthen equipment every once in a while and as you make/find better gear, have a chain of handmedowns going. Sooner or later everyone will have decent gear. On lucky crafting day, it's just a matter of gathering your pile of quality gear and running back and forth to the informer to check and spread resists around.
