I'm going to get started on Rorona soon but I'm not sure if the 100% save will work or not since I'm playing a PAL version of the game. Is there an EU/PAL 100% save available? I'd normally 100% stuff myself but my backlog is far too big and I want to get started on Totori as soon as possible for delicious Totori and Mimi.

Totori is my new little sister. She's just so adorable.

The writing is mostly humorous, and of the good kind. I'm usually smiling when I view events, even after having watched them once or twice over now. The characters all have their own little quirks that make them quite endearing, even joke characters like ヘタレ Peter. I can also tell they put a lot of care into producing each scene, there's small things like playing a bgm from the introduction stanza instead of the usual beginning when it's appropriate.

The gameplay is fairly light. I'd put it at about the same difficulty as the Ar Tonelico games. But, there are enough things to do that I never really get bored. It's a very open world to explore, but the events are such that I won't run around for hours without seeing a single event unless I really try not to, so it never feels grindy. There's always a goal to work towards. The battle system also lacks depth, but who cares when stuff looks so impressive.

Everything in this game looks fantastic from the backgrounds to the character art, but the character models impress me the most. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making the 3-D models resemble Kishida's character designs, and the battle animations aren't half-assed either (too bad everyone only has two skills + one ultimate move).

As great as all of that is, the best part of Atelier Totori would have to be the music for me. The GUST composers really outdid themselves this time, making some fitting and enjoyable songs for fields, characters, battle, and everything in between. To put some numbers to it, 41 out of 62 songs from the OST entered my regular playing rotation, while for AT3 13 out of 81 songs entered the rotation. Just listen to this:

tl;dr Atelier Totori is my new favorite console game
