I don't think Aqours popularity is waning noticeably, I'd want to see some solid numbers for that. Just look at the dreamy color MV. Just look at the Covid-19 canceled dome tour.
Keeping Aqours around is a no brainer, as long as they can fill Stadions. You'd literally be throwing away tens of millions of dollars.
On top of that all the seiyuu love Love Live and Aqours. Even Arisa ended up crying while talking about their Love Live Fest performance! Arisa!
it just doesn't make any sense at all to disband Aqours.
