I'm one of the few handful anons who has always liked him and his art since the beginning.
But, aside from that, there is also the consideration that Hater, being a skilled artist who has almost mastered the aspect of human anatomy in creating art, would be a great loss to this world as there is no other Western artist who draws like him AND is devoted to Touhou, not for the sake of getting popularity, but for the sake of liking Touhou sincerely and verily.
