In all honesty the person is rather strong to keep everything locked up for 100 years when a Shinigami would come to take their life because a person with a normal mind taking emotional pain about their lover probably being happy with their former flame/ being the second to go to guy, day-in/day out, putting on a happy face everyday would have eventually caused the person to have a breakdown in front of everyone, and would cry until they couldn't cry anymore + become a sad sack of shit.

The person is on their deathbed looking at their wife in their original body for the last time before they go off to be judged, and probably reincarnated a new being with the slight chance to see their beloved again, but never to become as close as they were before ever again.

I highly doubt she would almost attack him at all instead of crying tears of despair.
