You could contribute that to the writers. World Guide 1 was from the Author, a human. Human perspective on monster behavior, so it seems more extreme. World Guide 2 was written by Saphirette, the Dark Matter elementalist. Monster perspective on monster behavior, so naturally she would see the more extreme aspects with a rosy lens. The info page for World Guide 2 even says she's extremely biased about how great she thinks monster life and the Demon Realm are.
