It really depends on what you mean by "waifu interaction" or more accurately if you want to consummate the virtual relationship.
I don't think it will come any time soon, at least not from Japan.
The games are nothing but fucking (PC) or ecchi that is nonetheless full of dating/romantic content (console/handheld). There is nothing inbetween or with both and I am skeptical it will be filled while PC remains such a niche thing in Japan.
And don't get me started on the archaic file formats and utter rejection of native mod support in Japanese games
