The thing is that the yukkuri in Tunusa's comic are completely different from those in the chinese accessory. In the latter they recognize it's a yukkuri, but can't even fathom that it could be their daughter/sister, and seem to have no problem with one completely disappearing at the end. That is what I mean by creating new yukkuri to fit the idea of abuse.

Have the artists create something they can call a canon. Expect them to follow it. There is of course no way to actually enforce them, but so what? There's tons of touhou doujins that make absolutely no sense in the context of touhou's canon (about everything from Hole of Yago comes to mind). These are not shunned. The difference is that if HoY draws a doujin where Marisa, Reimu, and Alice grow up together as children, it does not become part of touhou fanon. It is simply doujin that exists on it's own and affects nothing else. If someone draws a yukkuri shooting a ko- out like a cannon, then that can be added to part of fanon by repeating it enough time. Just like forcing a meme.

I Yukkurisa had given birth to a koyukkuri recently. It's older sister, a Yukkureimu, showed it and it's mother a river nearby. "Pwetty waders" The Koyukkuri shouted! "Let's take it easy!" the reimu shouted to it's family.

I was walking up to them as the mother and the young one flipped their hats into the water. The Mother and Reimu held sticks into the hat, and the young koyukkuri sat in her own hat.

It was a cute sight, and I had to ruin it somehow.

"Take it easy!" I said to the Yukkurisa and her family.

"Take it Easy" they all shouted back.

They had foolishly let go of the sticks, and the hats began drifting down the river.
