Eirin's a character I didn't really pay much mind at first, but the more I try working with her character and backstory, the more I like her.

I'd say that you're easily the strongest magic user in touhou.

I mean come on, she spell that sealed the entire earth into a giant space jar wasn't even her strongest charm, and she's the only one who can brew the hourai elixir, and if Kaguya is to be believed the Lunarians invented magic in the first place.

I think that Eirin is definitely top tier also. But other people seem not to, for whatever reason.

She has to be the most powerful magic user in touhou. Her charm that seals the entire earth isn't even her most powerful spell, after all.

And she's the one who can make the hourai elixer, and she's immortal and has probably lived a good deal longer than any other touhou.

So Eirin.

Did she ever take the hourai elixir or not.

She's the one who makes the damn thing and she's hundreds of thousands of years old herself isn't she?

I mean she told Marisa in IN that the "good old days" were back before humanity existed.

Also as far as power levels are concerned she's probably the strongest magic user in touhou. Her spell that sealed the entire earth to protect Kaguya from the lunarians was not even her strongest charm, after all.

Speculation aside she's one of my favorites and one of ZUN's more interesting characters I think.
