Started out in Tokyo, then went to Kyoto and took day-trips from there to see Hikone (castle), temples a bit outside the city (Ohara, Fushimi Inari, etc.), Himeji (castle), and Osaka.
Then I went to the Nihon Travel Agency to get some help with getting into the countryside (because I'm not so fond of looking through all those websites if hotels and such), and there was a girl who got me a place in Takayama where I could spend 3 days and one of them went with taking the bus to Shirakawa (Hinamizawa).
Then I went to Kamikochi to get some mountain action, and that was really nice with the cool air and all.
Then I headed back to Tokyo where I went to Comiket and walked around town a whole lot to see museums and little shops in Ebisu and such.

That's a pretty brief description, of course.
