Not really. Japan or should I say non rural japan is a convenience heaven.

Living there while say being a freelancer online or having some sort of alternative income aka not working for a Japanese company would be perfect. This is my end goal in life really, but it's probably not going to come true.

I lived in Japan for a few years while studying there. I went back for a month this year.

It's hard to explain how good life there is, I come from Europe and we're already pretty high on the convenience tier.

Take this image, it was 3 am I was done binge watching Yamato 2022 to prepare for the movie that just came out November 2nd I think? I was thirsty so I just went out of my apartment and I had 4 of these vending machines serving me whatever the fuck I wanted. For next to nothing. If I was hungry I could walk for 8 minutes to the Station, all the "fast food" works 24 Yoshinoya, Matsunoya, Matsuya, Sukiya. Not to mention 7-11, Family Markt, Lawson, Aion and Seiyu work 24/7 too.

The area near the train station had about 27+ restaurants of all kinds, all the markets and some specialty stuff like BookOff and such...

So if you need anything at anytime it's there within walking distance of max 20 minutes away.

If you need anything specialized. Theres literal shoping mechas in certain parts of the city that are 30 minutes away. You can see everything and test most of it.

Then theres Japanese Amazon that on time, and delivers anything you could possibly need.

No stolen packets no bullshit.

The cities are free of grafitiy and junk, old people voluntarily go out and clean trash in the parks because fuck it they're good people, no that theres much to clean.

Everyone treats you like a human when you walk into a shop, even if you're a forigner the standard of customer service is through the roof and they take NO TIPS! Fuck me.

The food is amazing, the overall life not counting work is amazing. Shit even the homeless people are on another level not begging and building their own little castles.

Is there dark sides to it? Obviously. It's not all flowers and shit but damn it's probably the best place I can imagine living.

I mean shit even if I was a family man it looks amazing, they teach children how to be proper adults by letting them clean their schools, the kids actually walk to schools until high school or university, then they use trains.
