Japanese history with the Christians isn't the nicest. To give the short version, Jesuits were assholes and Japan had to kick them out the country by force. The second wave came with the American occupation after WW2 which started off bad, only improving after about 30-40 years. But going any further and it becomes less about the church and more about government fuckery and that's not including the communists.

Easy enough to say, but knowledge has a significant burden on me when it comes to art.
If I know that a given character really secretly has fake animal parts, is a dude, is a massive whore, etc, it doesn't matter what's in the picture because I have information about them that completely changes the context to something unpalatable.
I can separate art from artist easily enough, but trying to separate a character from themselves, that's not so simple.

1. You need to intentionally declare your hand to win. No such thing as accidentally having the winning hand and not knowing.
2. If you declare your hand and it doesn't have a winning combo (good luck to newbies here) you both lose points and piss everyone off. Not to mention minimum point requirements.

In short you'll get fucked over and hard if you try to play without knowing the rules and scoring well. Beginner's luck can't help you until then.

I just tested it out.
Blessed cursed meat changes the character's gender on the character sheet and dialogue menu, but it does NOT change the internal "gender" flag, for some dumbass reason.
Flipping it in Elosnack fixes the log texts.

It seems like if you want a legit gender swap on a character, you have to Snack it.
