Not that I demand it fucking universally, merely that I DO WANT THAT ONCE IN A WHILE AND NOT THE SAME "oh I'm doing something that will benefit me and hamper Gensokyo slightly and now Reimu stabs my goddamn face off". It's getting old for Touhou and in Japanese media in general. Tragic heroes and accidental villains are simply BORING.

I don't like the concept of dragging a relatively innocent person into what would be a battle to the death.
That is, if Gensokyo even worked that way and not "I shoot at you and then we have tea".

If there's no conflict to a story, what's the point? There is always a villain. Whether they're evil or not depends on the story itself. Sometimes one WANTS an evil villain. Repetition is stagnation.
