The way I headcanon it is that she's at the end of her rope and barely has a hand to play from. She had a head on her shoulders going in, then the incense happened, then the pill fuck up, then pregnant, then her newspaper (her life's work) got pulled out from under her, and now she has to juggle all that with her feelings, her misconceptions from limited information, and a comedy of compounding errors which ended with the tea trainwreck and it went downhill from there.
She had so much whiplash from back to back life changing events that she was still spinning. Getting into the "Anon's Frens" alliance and making the deal with Okina is about the first time since it all started that she can get back on track.

I hung drywall and inhaled silica dust for 12 hours and gonna do that some more tomorrow. I don't have the energy for you retards. Maybe next time.
