It's pretty much the same thing in Remake. Just a bit more ommited.

That would be the case if it wasn't for the fact the narration outright calls to mind Ciel's capabilities being capped and unable to increase past a certain point.

Her backup is entirely arbitrary and dictated by Arc's own judgement. I see no problem here with her drawing a bit more power to make her victory decisive, specially when it was outright stated they were evenly matched before.
Again in the screenshot here, the fact we're told Arc appears with a vessel perpetually stronger than her opponent means she can adjust her power midbattle. I don't see how you can interpret it any other way.

Yes, which is clearly different from merely increasing her stats by drawing energy from the planet. She is capable of doing this passively as well as through breathing:

Though it seems as if she's simply taking a deep breath to psych herself up, she's actually absorbing mana from her surroundings. The generation of internal magical energy and performance increase is comparable to a dragon core.

Pretty sure the aforementioned bit about how she is "simply taking a deep breath to psych herself up" is a reference to the time when she shattered Ciel's Gothic Fort.
