If you teach someone the most common words in dictionary definitions, that will help them with reading dictionary definitions... but why the fuck would any noob want to do that?

here is the type of thinking that you should have: imagine there is no core deck, you can only mine. what will the first 2000 words that a person mines be, assuming they mine a word as soon as they have seen it twice in their anime/manga? the reality is that it will probably be pretty close to the top 2000 most common words simply because those words are hundreds and sometimes thousands of times more frequent than the other 30,0000 words out there.

so then the question just becomes, can we save you a little effort and just give you a pre-made deck with those words that you will definitely have to mine anyway?
