I kind of understand why Marisa and Reimu are so short. They were like 10 back when BAiJR came out. But Aya?

Are all crow tengu tiny lolis? Well, I guess that kind of explains why they are so good at flying.

The height for Rinnosuke was given by ZUN, the other three heights are estimated from the illustration. They happen to correspond to the average heights of girls aged 11-14 during the Meiji era. 11-14 is the apparent age range of Reimu and Marisa (as well as most Touhou project characters).

If the Meiji height theory is true then each of the girls should be about 10-15cm shorter than on that chart. This illustration would support the Meiji height theory if it is drawn to scale (Rinnosuke has a height specified by ZUN).

When you consider her size and the fact that, in all likelihood, she has hollow bones, Aya must weigh next to nothing.
