There is a lot of talk about politics yes, but the focus of the story isn't on the politics
The main focus is on the gauntlet knights and them trying to avoid war but of course politics will be dragged into it

There is definitely still mystery elements and you will have more questions than answers like usual but it's done in a way that feels the story is always pushing forward unlike sometimes in Umineko/Higu where it just feels like we're going around in circles

I think I am the minority here when I say I think it's better so far though
