Incidentally, a fellow on bbspink made the exact same comparison as you.

And well, we already have a shipwright (Rough Potato, referencing how the god Sukuna-Hikona first appears on a boat made from the seedpod of this plant) and a pirate (Water Hyacinth, whose namesake flower functions as a ship through air-filled stems that allow it to float and sail-like leaves that propel it through the water), as well as an upcoming plane flower knight (Platanus/Plane Tree, who is the last of the researcher team composed of Rosemary, Lacquer Tree and Horse Chestnut, though whether she'll be an aviator/engineer remains to be seen). We only need a tank flower knight to complete the trifecta.

Speaking of which, it's kind of a shame that despite the long-held tradition for mad scientists to wear glasses, the researcher team (whom I must note all share flower meanings related to the mind, which is another cute touch) has only Rosemary's monocle in this department. Plane Tree will at least have aviator's glasses, right? Right? Another "this should be a glasses character" guess from the JP wiki is Agapanthus, who has "intellectual attire" as a flower meaning.
