I'm 3rd generation mixed Jap born and raised in Texas and it only took 1 generation for the language to be lost. From Bachan to mom. I want to learn it because I am a fucking anime and video game loving loser, but also "to get closer to my roots" as the liberals say. lmao. I am also a fan of Judo and Sumo.

I'm now learning it through anki like everyone else and I'm already 29. It's fucking miserable man. I wish I had no connection to the place at all. So close yet so far. I plan to live/work in Guam with my company and commute frequently to and from Japan on my days off. It's only a 4hr flight.
