Futo threads keep dying. I'm not even going to put any effort into this one since nobody seems to care about her except me. I'm still going to keep making Futo threads because I love Futo and you can't stop me.

I agree with you that the mountain of DLCs is rather obnoxious, but that doesn't change the fact that the base game has more than enough content for hundreds of hours of gameplay.
The DLCs themselves don't add much content, it's just a new character without any questline or some items (Sakuya's being the exception). In fact these DLCs feel rather niche, the kind of things you'd buy only if you're a obsessed with that one particular 2hu, or you just want to give extra support to the devs.
As much as I love Okuu I was perfectly fine with having her as a partner, and I didn't buy a single DLC.
And if you're so anal about it you can still pirate.

Plus the most important character is playable by default.
