Okay できないたち, I haven't done any of my studies in over two years and I want to get back into it. I'm still able to read most things (i.e., all posts written in Japanese in the thread thus far I can read just fine) but I want to get back into the rhythm of things. Now for those people who have stopped and resumed studying after a long period of time (I sure hope there are some here); should I start Anki again from scratch or continue on from where I left off? The way I see it, if I just continue the Anki algorithm will just correct itself eventually but I REALLY don't want to go through like 3k or 4k words at the start. Any comments?

Here's my 2 cents. I started my mining deck 1 month into learning. Seeing those words from Anki in my reading material helped reinforce my understanding of the word and thus helped me remember (stuff like "Oh, I remember 地球温暖化, it was from Yotsubato! really helped). With my mined deck, I added literally everything that I came across that I didn't understand (including stupid shit like 賢者タイム which made learning more enjoyable) and I do not regret it one bit. The one thing that I do suggest that you do is lower your new cards/day. The way I had it was Core 2k/6k with 20 and my mined deck with 10. In your case, maybe lower it 5 cards/day. Never stop adding things into your mined deck; Anki in combination with reading material (manga, LN, VN, etc.) is 100% the most effective way of remembering moonrunes. If you come across easy cards later on you can always just delete or quickly mature them.
