As a person who actually watches variety / owarai, the level is pretty good on average though it definitely requires having huge general powerleves (Touhou, 3DPD, anime/manga/game) for full appreciation.

Marisa's seiyuu is one of the funniest, it's often hard to tell if her lines were scripted or adlib. The worst skits are ones with little creativity, one of the common filler gags being when both characters shout simultaneously a word or phrase.
3th-5th are real classics that everyone should watch. After that the level starts to go down and latest ones have considerably more misses (which is kind of hard to avoid if you continue a series for a decade).
